Heather LawrenceHeather Lawrence, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Case Supervisor

In February 2019, Heather was given the opportunity to open a third location of B.E.S.T Services in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. It is here that she provides behavior services to the Northeast & Southeast regions of Portland, Oregon.

Heather is passionate about providing compassionate support to her staff, patients and their families while working through behavioral challenges. Her particular interests include the science of Behavior Analysis and it’s many meaningful applications.

Heather has been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis since 2006. While completing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Development, she worked as an ABA Tutor in Sacramento, California. It was through this initial experience that she was able to see importance and positive impact that ABA services can have on children and their families. From there, Heather moved to North Carolina and completed her Master’s Degree while working for B.E.S.T Services under the mentorship of Dr. Wilson. It was under Dr. Wilson’s mentorship that Heather completed her BCBA Certification.

We use a variety of evidence based practices including Applied Behavior Analysis and Verbal Behavior. She also uses evidence based practices for those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Treatment includes: Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Functional Communication Training (FCT), and Social Skills Training. Heather also has experience with Mark Dixon’s curriculum Accept-Identify-Move (AIM). AIM is a behavior analytic curriculum for social and emotional development that blends mindfulness, acceptance, and behavior analysis to form an intervention approach that is capable of transforming the lives of children & their families.
Heather is grateful to be supervising the B.E.S.T team in the Pacific Northwest!
